How to waterproof properly
Wash and dry the product according to its care label
Spray waterproofing agent evenly
Gently spread the waterproofing agent with a cloth
Leave the product to dry for a short while – do not allow it to dry completely
Heat activation: iron with a towel between the fabric and the iron
STEP 1
Empty backpack
Remove all contents from your backpack and shake it out fully.
STEP 2
Vacuum the inside
Use a vacuum cleaner to clean the entire backpack.
STEP 3
Take off all removable elements
Remove all loose parts such as hip belt, back system or protector.
STEP 4
Rinse backpack
Rinse your backpack with clear water to remove rough dirt.
STEP 5
Remove tough stains
Rub tough stains with a liquid gall soap and a soft brush or cloth and leave to soak for a while.
STEP 6
Clean zippers
Put your backpack in a basin of lukewarm water and leave to soak fully. Carefully clean the zippers with a toothbrush and squeeze the foam parts several times to remove dirt and debris.
STEP 7
Rinse backpack
Rinse your backpack several times with clear water to get rid of all remaining detergent.
STEP 8
Dry
Hang your backpack upside down to dry.
