Even on biting cold winter days, the Swisswool PIZ VIAL JACKET for men keeps ski tourers on track.
With its full coverage 90 g/m² lining and an ideal weight-to-insulation ratio, this is one of the warmest Swisswool items in the ski touring collection – the striking zig-zag, mountain-shaped quilting also gives it a cool look.
The innovative PERTEX® QUANTUM DIAMOND FUSE outer material consists of a thick-knit diamond-shaped yarn made from 100% recycled polyamide. This slightly shiny material is windproof, water resistant, breathable and extremely robust.
The jacket has a high collar and elasticated inserts on the cuffs to combat the icy air in the mountains. The two front pockets are backpack compatible and easy to access. The active, ergonomic but casual cut provides maximum freedom of movement.
And the Swisswool PIZ VIAL JACKET for men is not just stylish and highly functional, but also climate neutral and PFC-free.

We have been using Swisswool– wool fibers from Switzerland – as insulation material since 2011. A sustainable wool of regional origin, it warms superbly even when wet, is easy to care for and offers a perfect microclimate.
PERTEX® DIAMOND FUSE material is made up of unique diamond shaped filaments that lock together to create a particularly durable, highly abrasion-resistant fabric. Water simply rolls off of the material’s smooth surface.
Sustainable PERTEX® QUANTUM material is made of recycled polyamide, and its tight weave makes it extremely windproof and abrasion resistant yet comfortably soft. It is also particularly lightweight with a small pack size.
PFC free
This product contains no environmentally harmful per- or polyfluorinated chemicals (PFCs).

Super leicht und sieht auch prima aus. Jedoch gegen meine alte Piz Bianco (mit 150 g/m²) ist die Piz Vial sehr Dünn. Wenn man die Jacke ins Licht hält, könnte man denken die Füllung ist weniger als die angegebenen 90 g/m². Ob die Jacke das Versprechen "Auch an klirrend kalten Wintertagen hält die Swisswool PIZ VIAL JACKET für Herren Skitourengeher in der Spur" bin ich gespannt....

Die Jacke ist sehr leicht und dünn. Das ist super. Sie sieht auch sehr gut aus. Aber sie ist nicht besonders warm. Selbst bei moderaten Temperaturen (10 Grad) mit Pullover darunter habe ich in der Jacke gefroren. Das habe ich mir anders vorgestellt.
