Time to aim high
Our CO2mittment to our climate goal
The alpine landscape is particularly sensitive to climate change. Around 60% of glaciers have disappeared since the end of the Little Ice Age – vegetation is unable to keep up and the ecosystem imbalance is deteriorating continually. We need to act now and work together to keep the temperature rise well below 2°C.
ORTOVOX climate neutrality by 2024
A neverending process and an eternal cycle
Calculating your carbon footprint
A complex calculation

The first step toward climate neutrality is the calculation and analysis of the carbon footprint along the entire supply chain. Our emission calculation comprises the Company Carbon Footprint (CCF) and the Product Carbon Footprint (PCF).
The CCF is the balance of our direct and indirect emissions – from travel to energy consumption to paper usage.
The PCF records all of the emissions throughout a product’s lifecycle and at 95% accounts for a significantly higher proportion of our emissions.
Maximum reduction
Optimizing means minimizing

We adjust, optimize and develop alternatives – a never-ending process that affects and determines all of our business areas.
What we have already achieved
We use green energy and local products in our company cafeteria, support climate projects and have introduced travel rules.
Over 60% of our products are made in EU. We maximize the use of recycled materials, reuse remnants, have sustainable packaging concepts and completely offset the carbon emissions of entire product lines.
Offsetting
Support for climate projects

Despite our very best efforts, as a manufacturing company we will always produce emissions.
With climate partner, we have a team of experts at our side who accompany us every step of the way. With their help, we found a climate protection project in China to support with our carbon offsets.
Our measures can be followed under ID: 14685-2009-1001 at www.climate-label.com.

„Protecting the mountains and, thus, our environment, should be our top priority. We at ORTOVOX do not want to be part of the problem - we want to be part of the solution.“
Christian Schneidermeier, CEO ORTOVOX
