CLIMATE PROTECTION
CO₂ emissions – the positive downward trend.
We have defined our CO₂ budget until 2050 and our milestone target for 2030. This is the limit we have set! Yet, we also know our biggest levers to decrease emissions. Our asset is that we have built up comprehensive high-quality data over the years, allowing us to implement our emission reduction strategy with a clear focus and great efficiency. Our Goal
By 2030, we commit to reducing 42% of our Scope 1, 2, and Scope 3 emissions based on our 2022 baseline. By 2050, we commit to reducing 95% of our emissions to achieve Net Zero.
Status Quo:
We have joined the Fair Wear Foundation (FWF) in 2015, a non-profit organisation that campaigns for the global improvement of working conditions in the textile industry. We hold the Leader Status in the area of social responsibility.
Over 24,000 workers are employed in our partner factories. Around 80% of them are women.
Status Quo
By 2023, we have reduced our emissions – measured against revenue – by 28.77%.

Challenge
The supply chain accounts for around 95% of our CO₂ emissions, and its complexity is a key challenge. From design to raw material production to energy mix and transportation – there are many aspects that need adjustment. This also asks for a departure from old patterns, for a new mindset. Although the changes are often substantial and the process demanding, it is an invigorating and effective process.

What we do
Climate Reduction: Sought and Found
We have identified our emission hot spots (climate offenders) and work in these areas to reach our climate goal.

Climate Action Circle
We have integrated a climate expert in each of our five departments allowing the Climate Action Circle to effectively execute and monitor our declared objectives.

The Matter of Compensation
Despite our efforts to minimize emissions through careful planning and strategy, there are still emissions, of course. We offset these by investing in climate protection initiatives.

Race to Zero: United for Climate Protection
We are serious about our strategy! And we have reaffirmed our commitment by joining the SME ClimateHub, an NGO that facilitates the achievement of climate goals. We have also joined the UN initiative "Race to Zero." The goal: Net Zero by 2050, latest.

Carbon Reduction Project
How we produce is crucial. Just by modifying energy sources within the supply chain, we can potentially cut our CO₂ emissions by 55-60%. Through the Carbon Reduction Project, we leverage the additional power we gain by partnering with competitors.
