Versatile and lightweight: The AVABAG LiTRIC TOUR 30 is a ski touring backpack with a LiTRIC avalanche airbag system. From quick after-work sessions to high alpine ski tours right through to multi-day tours: Just one BASE can be used to attach various sizes of AVABAG LiTRIC TOUR and FREERIDE Zip attachments, each tailored to their intended use. The Zip is designed in such a way that, when combined, the base and the various packs merge to form a single unit.
The BASE comprises a back element and airbag system and sits comfortably thanks to the FULL CONTACT LIGHT back system.
The stowaway bag can be completely opened up thanks to its circumferential zipper and is equipped with all of the features you need on a tour: Ski, splitboard, and rope attachments, an ice axe holder and small map compartment leave nothing to be desired. Emergency equipment can be stowed in a separate safety compartment. We have used particularly lightweight but scuff-resistant materials to keep weight down to a minimum.
LiTRIC, the electronic airbag system, is lightweight, reliable and easy to use. The electronic system can be fully charged in approx. 25 minutes via USB-C and activation can be tested any number of times at no additional cost. The lack of a cartridge means: more space, no weighing necessary, no cartridge disposal, no travel limitations. The design is clever down to the smallest detail, supercapacitors are used instead of cartridges and the airbag is ultra-lightweight – making the system one of the lightest on the market. And the system is especially easy to use. From charging and the LED display, to the activation handle, to airbag packing and the leg loop: LiTRIC AVABAGS are absolutely intuitive to operate. One charge enables at least two activations. When switched ON its operation time is approx. 60 hours, which allows for multi-day tours with no need for recharging. Its operating temperature ranges from -30°C to +45°C.
All products in the AVABAG LiTRIC TOUR line are climate-neutral and PFC-free.
Registering the system on https://www.ortovox.com/service-hub will extend its warranty from two to five years.

The avalanche backpack is lightweight and has just the right features. I was particularly confident in the functionality of the airbag system. Unfortunately, the backpack didn't work as expected when I started testing it before my trip. The airbag system failed to deploy, which was of course a big disappointment, and it didn't inspire confidence in the product's functionality in a critical situation. Luckily, I was eventually able to get my money back, although it required long and patient communication with customer service. I hope that the quality of the product will improve in the future, so that other customers don't have to experience a similar disappointment and dangerous situation.

A superb backpack combined with the very best avalanche airbag. Light and well made the backpack thats sits comfortably on your shoulders both uphill and downhill. It's barely heavier than my previous backpack, but this one now also has an easy to use and rechargeable airbag. Tested the airbag and not only did it inflate very quickly, it also was stowed away and packed again in under 5minutes, ready to go again anytime. Together with another zip-on this is extremely versatile and actually fits 30liters. 2 jackets, large pair of gloves, glasses, hat, 2l drinking bladder, helmet on the outside and snacks fit easily in addition to safety equipment of shovel prove and first aid kit. Expensive but worth it!

This is great backpack. Superlight, very roomy (I was using it for both 1 day trips and couple days skiroutes). Battery holds for decent amount of time and I really like to feel of backpack on my back (no neck pains after 6 days of touring). Finally, great customer service in Ortovox!

It is super lightweight. Not even noticeable that I am carrying an airbag pack. So much more comfortable than my other brand of pack. Easy to use pockets. I love that I can just charge it at home before my next adventure. It makes carrying an airbag pack a no brainer.
