With a packing volume of 40 liters, the PEAK DRY 40 provides sufficient space for multi-day high alpine tours – without compromising on comfort. A Full Contact Light back system with stabilizer provides a comfortable fit and great control even with heavier loads, while the hip belt will optimally distribute the heaviest of weights. This high alpine touring backpack will keep everything dry thanks to the high-frequency welding that makes all the seams waterproof. A circumferential, waterproof zipper provides easy access to the main compartment from the front. In the interests of the environment, the PEAK DRY 40 is also especially environmentally friendly, as it has no DWR coating and is thus PFC free.
Helmet net, material loops, load control cords and rope and ice-axe fastenings make the PEAK DRY 40 optimally equipped for alpine use. Most importantly, all the features will function in any weather because the fastening options are not obstructed by a rain cover. For those who wish to reduce weight on their way to the summit: the hip belt, ice axe holder and lid compartment can be removed completely.
The PEAK DRY 40 is thus a reliable companion for demanding alpinists who value their independence in the mountains.
Small items that need to be accessed quickly can be stored in the hip pocket or in the map compartment.

Great backpack! I use this backpack for two years. My main uses are High alpine mountaineering and ice climbing. The water collumn is perfect for snow and ice environments. This week I managed to lose my pickel strap of the backpack. I contacted the support centre if it was possible to buy one and guess what? They send me a new strap free of charge! They really helped my out. Only ortovox can provide a good service like this!

Love the waterproofness of the pack but unfortunately it has worn out very quickly. The metal frame is poking through into the interior of the bag and the top side compression straps both ripped off after a fall with my skis in an a-frame. Also noticed some wear in the edges in the fabric and on the straps. All this in less than two years although it was used almost daily as a normal daypack. Reached out to get it repaired or warrantied and after multiple long waits I was told it couldn't be repaired. Considering the price of the bag I have found this really disappointing as now I need a new bag and it won't be ortovox.

Ottimo schienale, eccellente impermeabilità, spallacci comodi. Tuttavia manca un sistema di trasporto comodo ed esterno per i ramponi, inoltre la patella superiore è davvero brutta quando lo zaino non è completamente pieno. Ottimo il servizio clienti ortovox che ha riparato velocemente la cerniera principale che si era rotta.

The backpack is great, but when it is not fully filled, the stiff lid not only looks very bad but does not overlap the opening well. You should sell an alternative top lid, smaller and more flexible (softer) - I'll buy it immediately!

Ich habe mir den Rucksack primär als Hochtourenrucksack gekauft und benutze ihn mittlerweile aber auch als Tagesrucksack bei Bergtouren oder beim Wandern. Bin vollauf zufrieden, die Wasserdichtigkeit ist meiner Meinung nach ein ganz großes Plus, zudem liegt er angenehm auf dem Rücken und bietet alle Funktionen die ich brauche. Der Reisverschluss an der Seite ist auch sehr nützlich z.B. für den schnellen Zugriff auf ein Wechselshirt oder das Vesper.
